2004 Blueboys Shootouts

-2004 marks the 11^th year of the Blueboys Varsity Shootout.

-The 2003 Shootouts featured 135 teams; 92 varsity, 21 junior varsity and 22 junior high teams.

-One of the biggest shootouts in the nation, last year=s field included teams from Illinois, Missouri, Ohio, and Iowa.

-The 2004 format guarantees every team at least six games.

-Team fee for entry is $275.

-Each team receives ten t-shirts and a coach's gift.

-*New in 2004* Class AA JV 2-Day Shootout in conjunction with AA Varsity Shootout. There will be a $50 discount to teams that enter a Varsity and a JV team.

-2004 marks the sixth season the JV Shootout has been held.

-In 2003 the JV Shootout featured 21 teams.

-The tournament will guarantee each team three games.

-Team fee for entry is $120 and includes a coach's gift.

-2004 will be the third year for the junior high shootouts.

-The 2004 format will feature separate 7th and 8th grade tournaments.

-In 2003, there were eight 7th grade teams and fourteen 8th grade teams.

-The JH Shootout has a tournament format that will guarantee each team three games.

-Junior High teams must be IESA members or affiliated with a school.

-Team fee for entry is $120 and includes a coach's gift.

Individuals wishing to officiate the Jacksonville Shootout may contact Billy Hickox at 217-243-8946. Also, a clinic is offered for officials wanting to get re-certified.
