High School Indoor Co-Ed Invitational

Entry Fee:         $60 per team ($100 for Boys & Girls) or $10 per athlete.

 

Entries: Each team may enter two individuals per event and no more than

                        one team per relay.

 

Entry Format:   Please email entrees to mbrooks@ic.edu in the following format:

                        Last Name / First name / Event / Entry Mark -   Example:

                                 Smith, Jerod / 100m / 11.45

                                    Important:  Do Not Fax your entrees in.

                        Please list girls’ and boys’ teams separately.

                        All entrees should be submitted by 6:00 PM  Monday, March 3.

 

Heat Sheets:     Performance lists will be posted on the Illinois College Indoor Track Website by 6:00 PM Wednesday, March 5.  All changes should be emailed in by 4:00 Pm on Thursday, March 6.  Heat sheets will be in the coach’s packet available when you arrive.        

 

Scratches:         Scratches for all track events should be made at the check-in table when

                        you pick up your packet.  We will not reseed heats for track events based

                        on scratches and will combine heats only at the direction of the starter.

                        Field event scratches may be made at the competition site prior to the

                        beginning of the event.

 

Track:              Martin polyurethane track.  1/8 inch spikes permitted on track, long jump,

                        pole vault, and high jump.

 

Timing: Finish Lynx fully automatic timing system will be used.

 

Finals:               Finalists will advance in the 55/55H by time (not heat winners)  All other

                        track events will be run as finals (fast to slow heats).  All field events will

                        be run as finals (best to worst flights) with each athlete allowed four

                        throws and four jumps (long & triple).

 

Scoring:            We will be scoring the meet 8 places deep (10-8-6-5-4-3-2-1).

 

Starting Heights:  Will be determined after we receive entry information.

 

Warm Up:        Warm up area will be limited.  Runners may warm up in the outside lanes

                        on the back stretch (west side) of the track unless all lanes are being used.

                        Hurdles MUST be kept off the track.  There will be a small area on the

                        South court (near the high jump) for hurdle warm up.

 

                        * Please instruct your athletes to watch the track when crossing and stay

                           clear of the field event areas.

 

Challenges:       Explain your challenge in writing.  Submit the form to the timing scorer’s

                        table located on the north end of the balcony.  You will be called by the

                        P.A. when your challenge is complete.

 

                        The head starter will serve as referee in determining rule infractions.

 

 

Awards:           Trophies will be presented to the top finishing team in both boys and

                        girls classes immediately following the meet.

 

                        We will award medals to the first three places for individuals and relays.

 

Results: Complete results will be posted on the I.C. Track Website.

 

Training Services:   An athletic trainer will be at the meet.  Teams are responsible for

                                their own training supplies.  Ice will be available.

 

Team Camps:     Team camps may be set up on the two middle courts inside the track.

                          This is a NO SPIKE area.  Please abide.   WATER ONLY will be

                           allowed in the team camp area.

 

                        PLEASE CLEAN YOUR CAMP AREA BEFORE LEAVING.

 

Locker Rooms:  One boys and one girls locker room will be available.

 

Pass Gate:        The pass gate will be located at the northeast entrance to the fieldhouse.

                        Athletes (in uniform) and coaches only.  Coaches will be asked to sign in.

 

Parking:            Busses will be allowed to park along Lincoln Avenue (west of fieldhouse)

                        or in the parking lot on Park Street (east of the football field).
