IDS 312  The Illinois River Valley and it's People

  Fall 2000:   Required course for Environmental Studies majors.  Meets the lab science
    requirement for non-majors.  No prerequisites.

   Catalogue Description: IDS 212 The Illinois River Valley and Its People (4)
            An overview of the Illinois River Valley and adjacent regions beginning with a brief study of its geologic determinants and native environment, and proceeding to the study of the habitation of the Valley by diverse peoples from prehistoric to contemporary times. The way different disciplines examine the region's physical and social environment is observed. Field trips, readings, guest lectures, and discussion.
