The Environmental Biology and Ecological Studies Program at Illinois College is a multi-disciplinary course of study for students interested in Ecology, Environmental Science, Environmental Justice, Environmental Policy or Wildlife Biology. Students take a core of common courses such as Ecology, Biology, Environmental Science and Geography, then take electives in their area of concentration.

Electives include courses such as Wildlife Management, Environment and Recreation, Environmental Economics, Botany, or Animal Behavior. Many ENVS students choose a minor in Biology, Chemistry, Sociology, International Studies or Economics to complement the ENVS major. Students finishing our program have typically gone on to graduate school or have found employment in the Natural Resources.

Former students have gone to Ohio University, Southern Illinois University, Western Illinois University, Iowa State University, Miami University of Ohio, University of Illinois, Central Arkansas University and Washington University. Several students are currently working as Conservation Police Officers, for private environmental consulting companies, for the Illinois State Department of Health,or for the Environmental Protection Agency.
