Illinois College
The specimen museum currently serves as a depository for preserved vascular plants (herbarium), an insect collection, and numerous animals - vertebrate and invertebrate - preserved in fluid. Many of these specimens, particularly plants, date back to the late 1800s, providing an historical record of the previous flora and climate.
