The Language Houses
What
are the language houses?
The Illinois
College language houses offer an
environment where students studying German and Spanish can be immersed in the
language and cultures. This creates a place on campus for international
interests, jump-starting global awareness. Students living in the house
take a pledge to speak only in the language of the house while in the
house. Native speakers act as Directors of the language houses and work
with students and faculty to create cultural programs.
We have two language houses:
