Abstract

The purpose of this paper is to gain information about computer science curricula at liberal arts colleges. This survey examines the web sites of liberal arts colleges from a small geographic area to answer various questions in such areas as a depth first versus a breadth first curriculum, the first programming language used, and the use of closed laboratories. It also examines whether courses such networks, computer systems, capstone courses, and internships are offered. This survey is also a pilot to determine the usefulness for a larger survey.
