Explanation, or “What’s this?”

As an undergraduate and graduate student, I wrote opinion columns for Penn State’s Daily Collegian (a student-run newspaper; online at http://www.collegian.psu.edu/) and won a few Best-Columnist scholarships. I had more hair then and I’m a better writer now, but some of the columns hold up fairly well. At the least, these samples will give you a sense of where I’ve been.
