Testament) and New Testament. (Not open to students who have taken
REL 205.)
Introduction to World Religions / REL 290 (3 credits)
A survey of globally important non-Christian religious traditions which have emerged from South Asia, East Asia, and the Middle East. Open to second semester freshmen with a C average or above.

Religious Traditions of Japan / REL 291 (3 credits)
An historical study of Japanese religions in their classical and modern forms. No previous knowledge of Japan assumed: the course offers an introduction to Japanese history and culture.
